Volunteer Afternoon Event
In July, we were able to hold our summer Thank You Event for our Volunteers where we enjoyed tea, sandwiches and cakes, presenting long service awards from 5-35 years!
St Wilfrid’s Hospice has many volunteers helping across the charity, in our shops, on the ward, at events and everywhere that we need help.
We are extremely thankful that so many wonderful people generously volunteer their time to help support local lives and so we held a small event to bring together our volunteers for a nice social afternoon with a traditional afternoon tea.
Our amazing hospice catering team provided us with delicious cupcakes and scones to enjoy while being entertained by local singer Angie Daniels.
The afternoon was a resounding success enjoyed by over 120 of our volunteers who finished the event by singing with staff ‘Sweet Caroline’ – a British favourite!
