Donating goods
We rely on the amazing generosity of you, our supporters, to donate goods which enable us to raise funds for St Wilfrid’s in our shops. Quite simply, without you we couldn’t raise funds in our shops to offer the care that we do.
Where to drop donations
We have a main Donation Centre in Chichester at Terminus Road (01243 530518), where supporters can drop off larger donated items, and in some instances we’re also able to arrange collection of goods.
In addition to this, we’re able to accept smaller quantities of donations in many of our shops, please click on the link below to find out about where you can donate and opening hours.
When we receive donations of clothing and fabrics that we cannot sell in our shops, we always try and dispose of them in the most environmentally friendly and cost-effective way. It is often possible to recycle these goods and still generate a small income.

Thank you for your support
In 2019-20 alone nearly 100,000 kilos textile waste was recycled, raising around £36,000! Unfortunately, there are a few items that we cannot sell in our shops and that would cost us money to dispose of.
We cannot accept any of the following:
- Anything broken, dirty, incomplete or unsafe
- Safety equipment including child car seats, helmets & nursery equipment
- White goods, computers & gas appliances
- Firearms, knives & weapons
- Toys which are handmade
- Pillows & duvets
- Upholstered furniture without the correct fire labelling

Gift Aid your goods
Did you know that Gift Aid is a really simple way of raising extra funds for us? Last year we claimed an extra £63,000 for the Hospice!
By completing a simple Gift Aid declaration, your donations are worth 25% more, if you’re a UK taxpayer.
St Wilfrid’s can reclaim the income tax that you’ve already paid when we sell your goods, which means that if we sell your goods for £5 then it will actually be worth £6.25 to St Wilfrid’s.
It only takes a minute to register for Retail Gift Aid and can make a huge difference to us.
Simply download the form below, type your details, print it off and hand it to a member of staff when you drop off your donations.
You’ll only need to do this once, and all your future donations will be Gift Aided.
