We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Sales Assistant to support to the Shop Manager in every aspect of the day-to-day running of the shop, including welcoming our customers/donors, cash handling, researching, pricing and merchandising of our donations, plus maintaining the busy sales floor to an excellent standard.

    Are you an experienced Palliative Care nurse with a passion for education and learning?

    Come and join our friendly and kind team as the Clinical Development Nurse in an important role to develop and support our Inpatient Ward team at St Wilfrids Hospice, Chichester.

    We are pleased to be able to advertise a part time (22.5 hrs) position. You will provide continuous development to the nursing staff and support students on placement to the Hospice, enabling staff to have the knowledge and skills to deliver excellent person-centred care and provide the best possible experience for patients and their loved ones. You will facilitate and deliver education, training and staff development within an agreed programme of priorities.

    As the Clinical Development Nurse, you will be crucial to the delivery of hands-on training and education in the clinical area.

    You will work collaboratively with the senior nursing team on the ward. Your role will be key in the promotion of reflective practice, clinical supervision and experiential learning opportunities whilst developing a learning culture.

            At St Wilfrid’s Hospice, we offer a wide variety of Complementary Therapies to people receiving our care, including patients, their families, and carers. These therapies provide huge benefits, such as promoting relaxation, reducing anxiety, and improve wellbeing.  Our new Living Well Centre provides the perfect space to facilitate as range of creative and therapeutic activities.

            An exciting opportunity has arisen within our volunteering team for a qualified, passionate, and experienced Yoga instructor. The main purpose of the role would be to facilitate seated yoga sessions to patients, on a voluntary basis.

            We are ideally looking for therapist to commit to a regular weekly or fortnightly class when our Living Well Centre re-opens later this year.

                East Wittering are looking for new volunteers to help on the till, shifts available on Tuesday, Wednesday and Saturday mornings and also help behind the scenes with sorting donations on Thursday and Friday afternoons and anytime Saturday.                 e-Commerce Volunteers

                Are you free on a Tuesday or maybe a Thursday afternoon?  

                if you enjoy selling items online this is the perfect volunteer role for you!

                Help our hospice raise vital funds by donating some of your spare time to help us sell donated items on eBay. Our team is based in Chichester, Terminus Road and volunteers are working together in an environment that complies with social distancing guidelines.

                This is an excellent opportunity if you would like to gain experience in eCommerce or share your specialist knowledge about pretty much anything. We receive a wide range of donations and therefore we need a diverse group of volunteers to help us get the best value for each item.

                Volunteering for the hospice is also an excellent way to make new friends, have fun and build a sense of belonging. You’ll hear some amazing stories behind the items that have been generously donated to us.

                What do our existing volunteers say about their experience?

                “It’s a lovely way of meeting people in the local community, a great way of raising money and recycling goods”

                We have various opportunities, which include:

                • Researching the value of donated items and setting prices
                • Taking photos of items
                • Listing items for sale on eBay
                • Picking and packing sold items

                What do you need to apply?

                • Experience with selling on eBay or other marketplaces (Depop, Amazon, Etsy, etc.) is desirable but not essential. Training can be provided
                • A positive attitude and enjoy working both in a team and independently
                • A willingness to commit to at least half a day a week
                • The desire to learn new skills or develop existing ones
                • Honesty, integrity, commitment and reliability

                What can you expect from us?

                You can expect to be part of a very friendly team of volunteers who take pride in selling our most valuable donations online. The team is led by our eCommerce Manager, Daniel, who will support you from the start and provide an open environment where you will be able to leave your mark. Our office is based at Terminus Road, Chichester and parking is available on site.  You will join a very friendly team of existing volunteers and staff at our Furniture & Distribution Centre, Terminus Road.

                  The Coffee Shop at St Wilfrid’s Hospice has re-opened serving a selection of homemade sandwiches, cakes, scones and other treats!

                  Join our great Hospitality team and help them make a success of this wonderful facility which is open to patients, relatives, visitors, staff and volunteers.

                  The Coffee Shop is open Monday to Friday, 10.30am to 2pm with a view to expand opening times eventually to 7 days a week 10am-3.30pm.

                  We are looking for volunteers who are willing to be flexible and adaptable as we re-launch this facility.  Shift times will be 10.15am to 2.15pm, either regularly (weekly or fortnightly) or on an ad-hoc basis (note when we increase opening hours two shift times will be implemented: 9.45am to 1pm and 12.30pm to 3.45pm).
