Make a donation
St Wilfrid’s Hospice supports over 330 people at any one time, from our 14-bed ward at the Hospice and our Hospice Community team visiting people at home. We strive to care for all local people who have life limiting illnesses or who are in the last phase of their lives.
It costs £9 million a year to run our hospice services and as a local independent charity, St Wilfrid’s receives a small grant from the NHS and government funding for around 17% of these costs. The remaining amount to run our services each year is raised through the generosity of our supporters, donors, shoppers and community.
We understand that you might only be able to give a small donation, but any donation you can give will help us make a big difference to local lives.

Having St Wilfrid’s those last two days made all the difference. We can actually remember our last shared laugh with Mum – with us riding the stair lift up and down sharing and spilling cups of tea on the way up and down, with mum listening in from her bedroom. It’s those simple little moments that take you back and you can cherish ever afterward.
