Once you’ve signed up to something get in touch with us to let us know and we will support you to start fundraising and send an official running vest out to you!

Get Active Hero – Haydn’s 80km Challenge

Haydn said, “In June 2019 my wife, Laura, was taken to St Wilfrids Hospice for end of life care. Laura died on 13th June 2019 from Triple Negative Breast Cancer that had metastasised to her liver. The care from all the staff at St Wilfrids, through this time, was second to none! They were phenomenal!! Since Laura passed I have received incredible follow up care, from counselling to general catching up with staff who have become friends. I can’t do enough for this amazing place and the fantastic staff.

So, my crazy idea….I’m running 50 miles over January. I fell in love with running after Laura died and would use it to help my mental state. Now it’s more for fun.
50 miles or 80.5km over 31 days. I will be running this along with a few others, who have their own reason for taking part.  I dedicate my runs to the loving memory of my wife Laura and my dear friend Dave Cox, both are missed every day.
