Our team of volunteer Hospice Ambassadors are reaching out to the local community to increase awareness of our services and to highlight the importance of planning end of life care – a topic which affects us all.
Our Ambassadors deliver short presentations which are informative, interactive and thought-provoking, designed to provide a brief insight and overview of the work of St Wilfrid’s and aim to encourage a discussion about end of life. The presentation takes around 30 minutes and audiences include local groups, societies and companies.
If you are involved in an organisation that may be interested in hosting a free of charge presentation from one of our Ambassadors, please contact our fundraising team on 01243 755827 or email fundraising@stwh.co.uk.
Thank you
We recently enjoyed a visit by a couple of representatives from St Wilfrid’s Hospice who delivered an interesting and informative presentation outlining the activities of the Hospice. They also touched briefly on the subject of death and dying and the importance of making your wishes known to loved ones – a topic which was dealt with very sympathetically. The Friends found the talk very worthwhile and are very happy to recommend it to any group thinking of booking a speaker.
