St Wilfrid’s Hospice, Chichester, has announced that its recent Make a Will Fortnight event has raised more than £18,000 to support local hospice care.

The Hospice, which provides expert, free-of-charge palliative and end-of-life care to people in the local community, ran the initiative from 9th to 20th March.

During the event, ten local solicitor firms generously donated their fees, enabling more than 70 people to write or update their Wills while supporting the Hospice.

In addition, a number of participants chose to leave a gift in their Will, helping to safeguard the future of hospice care in the area.

Bryan Robinson, Gifts in Wills Officer at St Wilfrid’s Hospice, said: “We’re incredibly grateful to everyone who supported Make a Will Fortnight this year; from participants to the solicitors who gave their time so generously.

“We’re also proud that this event is part of a larger campaign that has been shortlisted for Legacy Campaign of the Year at the Smee & Ford Legacy Giving Awards 2026. To be recognised alongside national charities is a real honour and highlights the importance of supporting local hospice care.”
