St Wilfrid’s has a team of trained nursing staff who deliver expert care to patients both on the ward and at home. Our Clinical Nurse Specialists are trained in palliative care, and over half of our Hospice Community Team nursing staff are Trained Nurse Prescribers. This masters-level qualification means they are able to prescribe medications when needed rather than waiting for a GP or hospital visit.

St Wilfrid’s has a medical team that provide specialist medical support across all of our services. They may see you during your admission to St Richard’s Hospital, in your own home, or here at the Hospice. The medical team provides 24 hour on call support for our ward and specialist consultant advice for the ECHO Hub.

We have a pharmacist who visits the Hospice regularly during the week and is on hand to answer any medicine related questions or problems.

Our team of chaplains, social workers and volunteers who can provide psychological, emotional and social support that you or your loved ones may need.

Our chaplains are available to you and your loved ones for emotional and spiritual support, whatever your faith, religion or beliefs.
