Woof for Wilf – Terms and Conditions

  • By registering to the event, you are agreeing to these terms and conditions on your behalf and for any person accompanying you to the event.
  • We reserve the right to vary these Terms and Conditions from time to time without notice and at our sole discretion. Updates will be published on the Event website.
  • We reserve the right to implement any restrictions/conditions deemed necessary before and during the event to ensure the safe management of Woof for Wilf. You must comply with any and all instructions given to you by the event staff and its representatives.
  • You agree to comply with all reasonable instructions and requests given by the event staff and its representatives for the safe running of the event.
  • Woof for Wilf is a sponsored charity event and by taking part you pledge to raise as much sponsorship money as possible. Our suggested target is £30 per dog. We appreciate for some this is a challenge, however every £1 of sponsorship is important to us and makes a real difference to our community.
  • All dogs that are attending the event should be registered in advance or on the day subject to availability. 
  • A maximum of four dogs per person is allowed at the event.
  • You, your dog and anyone else attending the event must be physically fit and able to complete the walk.
  • Due to the nature of this event we are obliged to comply with The Dangerous Dogs Act 1991 https://www.legislation.gov.uk/ukpga/1991/65/contents
  • We are not able to accept entry from any dogs belonging to types bred for fighting and those that would pose a danger to the public.
  • If your dog might not get on with other dogs very well and might pose a risk, please ensure your dog is muzzled.
  • We advise that your dog(s) attending is insured.
  • You are responsible for the dogs you bring to the event on the day and MUST be kept on the lead at all times.
  • You must bring a supply of biodegradable poop bags and you are responsible for cleaning up after the dog(s) you have bought to the event.
  • Dogs that participate must be up to date on their vaccines and must not be in season.
  • Anyone under 16 must be accompanied by a person who is over the age of 16.
  • St Wilfrid’s Hospice can accept no liability for any injury you or your dog may sustain or any property you may lose or damage during this event.
  • You consent to being photographed, filmed and sound recorded and to your image being used by St Wilfrid’s Hospice for any media purposes at any time.
  • All personal data will be processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy. [Link].
  • If for any reason you cannot attend the event after you have registered, your registration fee is non-refundable.
  • Woof for Wilf is an outdoor event. Please bring suitable clothing and footwear. No refunds will be given due to inclement weather. If the event takes place outdoors which may be uneven in places and conditions underfoot may be affected by weather and heavy footfall. You should take reasonable precautions to avoid suffering injury, including, without limitation, wearing sensible footwear and taking care in areas where ground is uneven or has been affected by adverse weather.
  • If the weather is adverse or there is a risk to the grounds by pending adverse weather St Wilfrid’ Hospice reserves the right to cancel the event unless alternative provisions are available.
