Complementary Therapy Volunteers

At St Wilfrid’s Hospice, we offer a wide variety of Complementary Therapies to people receiving our care, including patients and their families and carers. The therapies provide huge benefits such as promoting relaxation and reducing anxiety and take place in our relaxing therapy room which we use to offer this valuable service.

With our move to Bosham we are looking to recruit more therapists to the team to help in our brand new Living Well Centre.

All therapists should hold a recognised Level 3 qualification and will be required to see clients at pre-arranged appointments, normally between Monday to Friday 10am and 4pm, with occasional treaments arranged in the evenings for patients on the ward. We are ideally looking for volunteers to commit on a weekly, fortnightly or monthly basis, for a minimum of 2-3 hours.

Being a volunteer at St Wilfrid’s Hospice really does give the opportunity to have a positive impact on local people’s lives and it is incredibly rewarding. If you are interested in finding out more please contact Hannah Holmes, Complementary Therapy Facilitator for more information or an informal chat.

Patients, often in difficult circumstances, benefit from relaxing treatments, and it’s a pleasure to be part of that process
