Is volunteering for me?

Do you get a great sense of satisfaction by helping others and want to make a difference to local lives?

Do you like being part of a friendly team and meeting like-minded people? Inevitably, you’ll be working with others so being a friendly and approachable is really important

Do you need something to keep you busy? Maybe you’ve retired and need a new focus or you are starting out in your career life and looking to gain experience and learn new skills and need to give your CV a boost?

The time you donate to the Hospice is flexible, it can be on a regular basis or any time that you can spare ie: a couple of hours a month, few hours once a week/fortnight. as and when you can. We only ask that when you do make a commitment you arrive for duty as promised, we rely on our volunteers to be reliable and professional.

Have you got a lot of energy and enthusiasm? Can you bring your passions to the Hospice and inspire others?

Are you flexible and willing to turn your hand at anything? Can you adapt and learn new skills?

Are you undertaking your Duke of Edinburgh Award and looking for a volunteering opportunity to fulfill the requirements?

If you’re still not sure, why not come in and have a look around the Hospice or arrange a Taster Session at one of our shops?

Call Emma, Voluntary Services Manager on 01243 755815 or email volunteers.office@stwh.co.uk to arrange an appointment - we would love to hear from you!
