Memory Tree

Dedicating a Memory Leaf is a special way to celebrate the life of someone you love, while helping St Wilfrid’s Hospice care for local people and their families.

Dedicate a leaf
Home » Support us » Ways you can support us » In memory » Memory Tree

A lasting tribute

Your engraved leaf, with up to 26 characters for a name or short message, will be placed on our Memory Tree at the Hospice in Bosham, where you are welcome to visit. Each leaf remains on the tree for the first 13 months, after which you can choose to renew your dedication for a further 12 months.

By dedicating a leaf, you are not only creating a lasting tribute but also making a real difference to those we care for.

Dedicate a leaf today

Choose your Memory Leaf

We have three beautiful leaf options, each with a suggested minimum donation for your dedication. Once your donation has been received, we’ll be in touch to discuss your tribute. You can choose to pay for your leaf monthly via a direct debit, or you can pay a one off donation.

If you have any questions, please contact us or read our FAQs.

Bronze Leaf

£120 (or £10 per month)

Silver Leaf

£210 (or £17.50 per month)

Gold Leaf

£300 (or £25.00 per month)

Make your dedication

Once your donation has been received, we’ll be in touch to discuss your tribute.

Please note that each leaf can hold up to 26 characters including spaces. The name engraved on your leaf will appear exactly as entered, so please check the spelling carefully. We cannot be held responsible for any misspelling.

You can find the full terms and conditions in our FAQs section below.

The Memory Tree always meant a lot to Pat and me. After she died, I knew a Bronze Leaf would be a fitting way to honour her life.

Seeing her leaf when I visit the hospice brings me comfort and reminds me of the special memories we shared.

Mick, husband of Pat who was cared for by St Wilfrid’s Hospice

Where does the money go?

Your donation to St Wilfrid’s helps us continue to care for local people who have a life-limiting illness.

Many people don’t realise that St Wilfrid’s Hospice is a charity, and that we rely on the generosity of the local community to help us raise the £10.5m it costs to run our services every year.

Thanks to the generosity of people like you, we have been running our services for almost 40 years.

Frequently Asked Questions

Your leaf will remain on the Memory Tree for 13 months. After this time, we will be in touch to ask if you would like to renew your leaf, or if you would like to have your leaf sent home to you.

Yes of course! The Memory Tree is based in our general reception at our Hospice in Bosham, Chichester. There is a seating area where you can sit back and reflect. We also have a cafe selling hot drinks and cakes, so you are more than welcome to bring some friends and family with you to view the leaf and enjoy some refreshments.

– Any donation you make for a leaf is in addition to any funds already received. We cannot back date donations to purchase a leaf.

– At the end of the initial 13-month period you will be contacted by the hospice fundraising team and offered the opportunity to renew for a further 12 months.

– If you do not wish to renew your dedication, your leaf will be sent to you to keep.

– The period begins when your leaf is first displayed.

– The name engraved on your leaf will appear exactly as entered, so please check the spelling carefully. We cannot be held responsible for any misspelling.

– Leaves are bronze, silver, and gold coloured and can hold up to 26 characters including spaces.

– There are 420 leaves that can be on the Memory Tree at any one time.

– St Wilfrid’s Hospice reserves the right to refuse any application at its discretion.

– In exceptional circumstances, St Wilfrid’s Hospice reserves the right to move or relocate the Memory Tree to another appropriate site within the hospice premises.

– St Wilfrid’s Hospice retains complete control over the location and dates of installation on the Memory Tree.
