Get involved in a virtual run – and stay motivated with medals! Virtual challenges are a great way to get active and achieve something in your own time and at your own pace. Go local and sign up to an existing running event near you. A quick internet search will find your local races. We recommend UK Running Events who run local trail runs from 5k – half marathons as well as inflatable obstacle course running for all the family! https://www.ukrunningevents.co.uk/

Get Active Hero - Haydn’s 80km Challenge
Haydn said, “In June 2019 my wife, Laura, was taken to St Wilfrids Hospice for end of life care. Laura died on 13th June 2019 from Triple Negative Breast Cancer that had metastasised to her liver. The care from all the staff at St Wilfrids, through this time, was second to none! They were phenomenal!! Since Laura passed I have received incredible follow up care, from counselling to general catching up with staff who have become friends. I can't do enough for this amazing place and the fantastic staff.
So, my crazy idea....I'm running 50 miles over January. I fell in love with running after Laura died and would use it to help my mental state. Now it's more for fun.
50 miles or 80.5km over 31 days. I will be running this along with a few others, who have their own reason for taking part. I dedicate my runs to the loving memory of my wife Laura and my dear friend Dave Cox, both are missed every day.

An exciting new partnership coming soon means we can soon offer a couch to 30mins’ running or walking club. Tailored to you (you will be coached at your own pace) and what you want to achieve. This is for those of you who don’t like gyms, but you want to move a bit more and do something in 2021. If you want to improve your mental health, and reduce social isolation we'll be running at talking pace, with chatting and socialising safely all part of it.
