Walter Light Clay Shoot

Mill Farm, Petworth is the stunning backdrop for the third Charity Clay Shoot being held in memory of Walter Light. There are 8 shooting stands to go round and even if you don’t own a gun you can come and be accompanied by one of our licence holders so you can take part.

When you are not shooting, Sausage & Bacon Rolls will be on offer along with cakes & bakes. A Silent Auction, Tombola and Raffle will also be taking place to keep you occupied so there is no chance of anyone being bored!

This year we aim to surpass all previous fund raising totals for one special reason.  Over the last year we have lost another close friend to Cancer and by a cruel twist of fate our Lead Organiser has now been diagnosed with cancer too. Come and help us make the day one to remember and help us raise much needed funds for the Hospice. If you cannot make the event just email us if you would like to view the Silent Auction List nearer the time to be able to make a remote bid or look us up on Facebook (

Keith, Claire, Tony and Dan all decided to hold this annual event in memory of their dear friend Wally,

“Wally loved the outdoors - once a month he would go out shooting and for the last few months of his life I had the pleasure of joining him. We all thought this would be a fitting tribute to Wally, to try and organise this Clay Pigeon Shoot to celebrate his life.”

St Wilfrid’s Hospice would like to say a huge thank you to Keith, Claire, Tony and Dan for organising this amazing event in Wally’s memory and helping us to make a difference to local lives. For further information email Clare on or call  07816 938459 for any queries or offers of donations.
