Be a local hero, run or walk whilst enjoying the beauty of Chichester Harbour
This amazing trail route winds around Thorney Island and surrounding harbour-side paths will take in the most stunning views of Chichester Harbour (Area of outstanding natural beauty) and spectacular wildlife.
The route's remoteness and constant coastal vistas make it one of the south's best kept secret trails. This well crafted off-road route will guide you around the perimeter of the former airbase at Thorney island and an additional loop around the top of the harbour, with views over to the Witterings, Prinstead bay and the surrounding Southdown's.
The flat nature of the course makes for a perfect early season run or walk. You can take on a timed run, or get on the trail with your dog and kids - with multiple route distances to choose from there is a distance to cater for all abilities. The event is timed and will have water stations on route to keep you hydrated.
Join #teamwilf and every kilometer you run/walk and every penny you raise will help us continue supporting families with first class care.
“Having St Wilfrid’s those last two days made all the difference" Bev said. "We can actually remember our last shared laugh with Mum - with us riding the stair lift up and down sharing and spilling cups of tea on the way up and down, with mum listening in from her bedroom. It’s those simple little moments that take you back and you can cherish ever afterward. As sad a time as it was, Mum looked herself more than she had done in the past year; she faced the end without fear.”
