Rosie’s Cricket Match
Rosie and her family host a Get Together each summer to celebrate the life and memory of Charlie, a much loved family member and keen cricketer.
They organise with their local cricket ground and bring together enough players to have two teams play a match across the afternoon.
Friends and family all come along, bringing pets and children to enjoy watching and a half time BBQ.
There was a bar for drinks, a bouncy castle for the kids and a raffle to take part in. All proceeds were donated to the hospice to help fund care for hospice services that Charlie himself had benefited from.
It’s always a wonderful day and keeps old memories alive as well as creating new ones.
Rosie got in touch and received the support of the Community Fundraising Team at the hospice to help her design the day and plan for all the elements of it.
The cricket Get Together for 2021 raised over £3,000 for the hospice which was more than anyone could ever have dreamt for!
