Jacob Saunders – Memory Walk

Jacob Saunders is taking on a 35- mile walk from Shirley Southampton to St Wilfrid’s Hospice in Bosham on the 7th of May 2022 in memory of his sister Ellie Griffith.

“I have chosen to support St Wilfrid’s Hospice because last year my darling sister Ellie Griffiths was a resident at St Wilfrid’s Hospice before she sadly passed away from a long hard battle with a rare form of Cancer, she was the most amazing Sister, Mother and most beautiful Soul a brother could ever wish for.

The Team at St Wilfrid’s Hospice not only took the most incredible care for Ellie but the level of support for our family was truly amazing! To be able to give back to such a wonderful charity means everything to me, and to be able raise money for this institution of Angels that have helped so many people in the past and present.”

“The parts of the walk we are looking forward to the most are the harbour and sea views to dip our sore feet in to and reflect on why its worth every mile of doing the walk.

But for me the most exciting part will be waking up in the morning knowing that when we set off on our walk we will be helping so many families that are going through the same part of their lives as me. Oh and the flat and down hill areas will be a blessing as well!”
