Flowers are forever
Thea and Clare, a local Writer and Artist, have come together and created a beautifully illustrated book of poems and short stories called ‘Flowers Are Forever’.
Thea, who has been writing since a child, has finally put a selection of her thoughtful, moving and humorous work to print.
Each of her poems and stories are accompanied by one of Clare’s beautiful watercolour paintings to create a truly unique hardback book.
This has been carefully compiled to include moments of hope, humour, sadness and optimism.
In 2014, Thea’s husband Harold passed away in St Wilfrid’s Hospice…
‘The Nurses and Medical staff provided incredible care to my Husband. I was there when he passed away and I will never forget the love and kindness that was shown to us, and also the aftercare for myself.
To be able to talk to and be understood in the ‘after’ time was a panacea that helped me come to terms with the trauma of losing the mainstay and love of my life. Thank you St Wilfrid’s for your care, love and support.’
