On Monday 19^th January, St Wilfrid’s Hospice invited a number of its generous supporters to a special Thank You Event.

Held at the Hospice, it was an opportunity to thank individuals and businesses from the local community who helped and supported in 2025. This included sponsoring and volunteering at events, providing tools and services that enabled these events to run, raising money through various fundraising activities – and donating money for essential equipment.

2025 also saw local businesses donate their time and commissions, sponsor events in the Hospice’s name and choose St Wilfrid’s as their charity of the year.

Chief Executive, Lois Howell, spoke about the Hospice’s appreciation for the generosity and time that was received last year. Without this unwavering support, St Wilfrid’s wouldn’t be able to provide crucial palliative and end-of-life care to people who need it in the local community.

The Hospice is thankful for all volunteers, donors, corporate partners, shoppers and supporters who help make what they do possible – and the team looks forward to working together throughout 2026 and beyond.
