Donate goods

Make a difference to local lives by turning your donated goods into cash!

Last year our shops raised an incredible £1.9million towards the £7.5million it cost to run the Hospice. Every item that is bought and most items that are generously donated, contribute to raising funds for St Wilfrid’s Hospice so we can continue making a difference to local lives.

Please note: We are now back open for donations at all donation centres. Please take care to review what we can and cannot accept for donations below.

We are always in need of good quality donations including;

Clean clothing and accessories

China, glass & kitchenware

Books, CDs & DVDs

Retro & collectable items

Pictures & mirrors

Toys & games

Furniture, homewares and soft furnishings

You can donate your smaller unwanted goods at any of our Hospice shops or at our Donation Centre on Terminus Road, Chichester.  For furniture or larger donations, you can get in touch with your closest Furniture Outlet to arrange a free collection.

When we receive donations of clothing and fabrics that we cannot sell in our shops, we always try and dispose of them in the most cost effective and environmentally friendly way. It is often possible to recycle these goods and still generate a small income.

Last year alone nearly 120,000 kilos of textile waste was recycled, raising around £45,000!

Unfortunately there are a few items that we cannot sell in our shops and that would cost us money to dispose of. We cannot accept any of the following;

 Anything broken, dirty, incomplete or unsafe

White goods, computers & gas appliances

Safety equipment including child car seats, helmets & nursery equipment

Firearms, knives & weapons

Toys which are handmade

Pillows & duvets

Upholstered furniture without the correct fire labelling
