Planning with peace of mind: Highlights from our Financial Wellbeing Seminar

We were delighted to welcome so many of our supporters to Chichester Golf Club on Thursday 26 June for our Financial Wellbeing Seminar – a morning packed with helpful advice, expert insight and plenty of thoughtful discussion.

The seminar brought together local professionals who generously shared their knowledge on everything from tax planning and Wills, to charitable giving and preparing for the future. It was clear from the feedback just how valuable this guidance was to those attending.

Tom Foster from Lewis Brownlee Chartered Accountants explained how making the most of tax allowances, gifting rules and inheritance thresholds can help people take control of their finances, rather than feel overwhelmed by them.

Ursula Watt of George Ide LLP spoke about the importance of keeping Wills up to date and making sure key documents are easy to find; not just for legal reasons, but to help make things simpler for loved ones later on. Her advice on legacy giving was so valuable, with many attendees saying they hadn’t realised how much of a difference it could make to both families and charities.

Nicola Hughes, Clinical Lead at St Wilfrid’s, gave a moving insight into how the Hospice is currently supporting over 340 patients through both hospice and community care, and shared how our team always puts dignity and personalisation at the heart of everything we do.

Attendees left feeling more informed, more confident – and inspired to start conversations about the future – for themselves and also those they care about.

A big thank you to everyone who joined us and to our fantastic speakers. If you’d like to attend a future session, keep an eye on our website or sign-up to receive our newsletter below.
