Inpatient care

When patients and their loved ones first come to the Hospice they are greeted by a home-from-home feeling.

We have 18 bedrooms on our Ward, many overlooking our beautiful and tranquil gardens. Each room has its own private bathroom and toilet and two of the rooms have facilities for loved ones to stay overnight.

People come in to our Inpatient Ward for a variety of reasons. We can help with difficulties such as pain, nausea or breathlessness that may be harder to deal with at home. We can help bring these symptoms back under control so that patients can return home to familiar surroundings and spend precious time with their loved ones.

Some people come to us for a period of respite so that families and carers can have a much-needed break. We are also on hand to provide practical and emotional support to patients and their families.

People also come as their illness advances, often choosing to be with us in their final days.
