This year’s event saw over 750 walkers on the Chichester College field, enjoying meeting other supporters, an appearance from Freida the Owl, fun light-up merchandise, face painting, food from ForestHogs and music and entertainment provided by V2 Radio.

Before everyone set off on their walk, FitJoy provided a warm-up to get all walkers ready and then a count-down was held, sending all walkers off at 8pm to take on their 5 or 10 mile route around Chichester.

The route took walkers all around Chichester, exploring some familiar places such as Priory Park’s Guildhall and Bishop Palace Gardens in a new way.

The Guildhall was transformed to an in-memory stop where walkers could take a moment to reflect on the memories of a loved one and leave a memory tag on the in-memory archway.

Bishop Palace Gardens was filled with lights to give it a brand new glow, that is special only to the Moonlight Walk.

After finishing their route, walkers were welcomed back under the finishing arch and given a big well done cheer from the team of volunteers. They then collected their walker medal to show off their completion of this event to friends and family.

In the end, our superstar walkers and those who supported them fundraised a total of £88,083. We also kindly had an anonymous sponsor match-fund the first £50,000 bringing us to a whopping total of:
