I remember the kindness and compassion that I was shown at the time of my dad’s death. He had been cared for in the hospice for about a week before he died and the care he received was exceptional. I was especially touched by a nurse, Julie, and the chaplain, Julie who supported me through one of the toughest days. The hospice gave us a space to be with dad and support in the early stages of our grief. I will never forget the kindness and support we received, the humanity and understanding that we were shown.
