Quizzical March helps St Wilfrid’s with a hair raising £1,600!
Regulars in pubs across the county have donned their thinking caps and raised their glasses to bring in a cool £1,600 for St Wilfrid’s Hospice with their Mad March pub quizzes.
From meat raffles, tombolas, and theme nights to St Patrick’s Day promotions, pub customers have dug deep to help fund the vital local services St Wilfrid’s provides terminally ill people. St Wilfrid’s in particular would like to say a massive cheers to the patrons of the The Seal, The Anchor Inn, The George Inn, Berkley Arms, Four Chesnuts , Kings Arms, Maypole Inn , QEII and The Lion for their donations.
If you have a quizzical nature and love a good pub or club quiz, join #TeamWilf this year for some fun nights to remember.
“Calling all Eggheads for the perfect way to raise money for your local Hospice, St Wilfrid’s. Nothing too strenuous and a pint or glass of wine in your hand!,” said Jerry Doyle, Head of Fundraising and Communications. “The pubs involved in the Mad March Quiz did us proud and we are very grateful. But the fun doesn’t stop there – more quizzes are on the way.”
#TeamWilf has come up with a quiz pack for every season, complete with questions and publicity posters. All you need to do is pull in a lively quizmaster and pick a venue. Your local pub, club or community centre would be ideal.
The ‘Sea, Socks and Sandals’ British Summertime Quiz’ will be the next big quiz St Wilfrid’s Hospice is rolling out to quizzers in local pubs, colleges and clubs. Whatever the weather, there will be fun for all. For your free quiz pack call 01243 755827 or visit stwh.co.uk/quizzes. Let us know how we can help you put on your quiz to help the Hospice.
