Tickets have gone on sale for the prestigious Mayor’s Charity Ball at the Assembly Rooms, in North Street, on February 2, which is raising funds for St Wilfrid’s Hospice Carers’ Support work.
Priced at £50 for a 3 course dinner and top entertainment from Dean Martin tribute performer, Ultimate Dean, the black tie dinner promises to become a new must-attend event on Chichester’s busy social calendar.
The last Mayor’s Charity Ball was almost 20 years ago and the current Mayor, Peter Evans, was keen to revive the tradition. He chose PACSO, the carers’ charity as a joint beneficiary alongside St Wilfrid’s for proceeds on the night.
CEO, Alison Moorey and Chair of Trustees, Angela Wormald, will represent St Wilfrid’s at the Charity Ball.
“The needs of carers have often been overlooked in the past,” said Alison Moorey. “At St Wilfrid’s we provide end of life care to terminally ill patients but we know how vital it is to give support to carers, family and friends as well to make a real difference. It is wonderful news that the Mayor has chosen to single out carers for support because they are often under huge pressure.”
Doors will open at 7pm. Hurry to buy your tickets – only 100 are available - at the Assembly Room or by calling 01243 788502.
