St Wilfrid’s Hospice will be celebrating the 11th anniversary of Moonlight Walk on Saturday 11 May.
Starting at the Westgate Leisure Centre, there will be a brand new way to leave a name in remembrance this year, as people gather to take part in the 5k or 10k walk in memory of loved ones in support of St Wilfrid’s Hospice.
“It literally is a night to remember so don’t forget to put it in your diaries! Our volunteers are an integral part of what makes the night so special - it really wouldn't be possible without all their hard work,” said Community Fundraising Manager, Alex Burch. “As well as being very moving, the Moonlight Walk is also a lot of fun.”
A call is going out for volunteers who can help on 11 May with everything, from marshalling walkers along the route and helping to run stalls, sign ups and issue kit at the Westgate Leisure Centre.
People can sign up to walk the walk at www.stwh.co.uk/moonlight. Early bird entry costs £16 if you register before Sunday 17 March.
