My Relaxing Easter Break…?
My name is Victoria Perkins and this Easter I’m pursuing the Easter Bunny from one end of the South Downs
Way to the other! Now it’s not
because I am really desperate for chocolate (although I’m partial to a nice big egg!), I’m walking the 100 mile route with my friend Gill, to raise money for two local charities, including St Wilfrid’s.
The local branch of the company I work for, QuinetiQ, has chosen St Wilfrid’s for its Charity of the Year.
The year-end is approaching and I wanted to do something significant to mark the end of the year of partnership.
And I especially wanted
to do this for St Wilfrid’s as they cared for my partner, Guy Mepham who died in Jan 2017: he was only 49.
So from now until the big finale on Easter Monday when Gill and I come triumphantly to the end of our trek, hopefully having raised £2000 between us, I’ll be posting a series of updates about our training walks, both the highs and the lows…and I don’t just mean the landscape! When the Olympics finish we’ll still be going strong so tune in for regular updates!
