This session will provide an overview of some of the key facts and issues in palliative care in developing countries, with the main focus being on African countries. It aims to raise awareness of palliative care needs and development; and through discussion, presentation, activities and videos to provide an opportunity to reflect on the current situation and challenges. This will be underpinned by a human rights and international development framework.
