Long Term Conditions and Frailty in Palliative and End of Life Care

Suitable for all health and social care support workers from all clinical settings.

This is a blended course covering six topics, each of which comprises a combination of online learning followed by a face-to-face session.  It is targeted to those who would like to increase their knowledge and understanding of long term conditions in relation to practice. 

Each topic focuses on a key long term condition of significance in palliative care.  Practical take-home tools are provided where appropriate.

Students will be required to undertake some online learning prior to attendance at each session.

Individual study days are:

  • 4th October 2018 - Cancer
  • 8th November 2018 - Neurological Diseases
  • 13th December 2018 - Heart Failure
  • 17th January 2019  - COPD
  • 14th February 2019 - Dementia
  • 13th March 2019 - Frailty


*Or book all six days for £200.

These study days are not suitable for registered nurses.
