Suitable for all paramedics, paramedic practitioners, OOH staff, Rapid Assessment and Intervention Teams. Places are limited - first come first served !

This is a discussion based workshop to cover:-

  • Common symptoms at end of life
  • Principles of symptom control
  • Role of hospices in an end of life patients journey
  • Advance care planning (including an update on implementation of ReSPECT in West Sussex)

Previous evaluations include:

‘It will help when I am dealing with end of life patients and has made me feel more confident in all the aspects of recognising dying, symptom management and palliative emergencies’

‘Has increased my confidence in managing EOL/palliative patients, will now use different pathways for information when trying to avoid hospital’
