This half day course is suitable for Registered nurses (refer to the NMC Code to determine own competence) and doctors from all clinical settings. This course utilises the Sussex Community NHS Foundation Trust policy.

The session starts with some theory on the use of syringe drivers. The common drugs used are explored and some drug calculations practiced. The practicalities of setting up a syringe driver are discussed and the session finishes with a video of a practical workshop on the management and use of McKinley Syringe Drivers.

This afternoon complements the knowledge and skills gained on the Symptom Management in the Last Days of Life course which takes place in the morning.

This course will be held virtually via Microsoft Teams which can be booked below – please ensure that individual emails are supplied as we are unable to accept generic emails. After booking you will receive a joining link to the email address you have registered by the day before the event. This link is specific to the individual and we respectfully ask that this is not shared in anyway.
