Day one, Tuesday 5th March 2024 – Face to face at the Education Centre

Day two, Tuesday 12th March 2024 – virtual via Microsoft Teams

Day three, Tuesday 19th March 2024 – Virtual via Microsoft Teams

Day four, Tuesday 26th March 2024 – Face to face at the Education Centre

Price: £300 early bird fee ONLY if you book on or before 1st February 2024 then £400.00 for all bookings received after Monday 1st February 2024, to include all course materials.

Where: Days one and four will be held face to face at the Education Centre, Terminus Road, Chichester. Days two and three will be held virtually via Microsoft Teams.

This course is suitable for all health and social care professionals. Whilst delivered from a palliative and end of life care teaching perspective, the principles and content covered will be transferable to all other clinical settings.

The overall aim of this short course is to provide an opportunity to develop basic teaching skills, which can be utilised in both face to face and virtual learning environments.


The course consists of four days (09.30-15.30), which will run once a week for four consecutive weeks.

The course includes:

– Adult learning theories and principles
– Adult learning styles and their application to teaching practice.
– Developing basic teaching / session plans
– Components of effective face to face teaching sessions
– Evaluation process
– An opportunity to practice teaching skills in a supportive environment
