End of life care for Paramedics

Utilising real life in practice case studies this discussion based workshop is likely to include:-

  • Improve confidence in recognising dying
  • Improve knowledge, understanding and confidence in Just in case medication and symptom control
  • Enhance communication skills in end of life care

Previous evaluations include:

‘It will help when I am dealing with end of life patients and has made me feel more confident in all aspects of recognising dying, symptom management and palliative emergencies’

‘Has increased my confidence in managing EOL/palliative patients, will now use different pathways for information when trying to avoid hospital’

‘I now know how to recognise and identify the signs and symptoms of patients that are dying as well as actions that should be taken’.
