Alison Moorey, Chief Executive of St Wilfrid’s Hospice is taking retirement in early 2023. Alison has led the charity for many years and made a huge difference to local lives and the progression of end of life care in our community.

Alison says,

“It hardly seems possible that it’s almost 25 years since I joined St Wilfrid’s as Director of Nursing in October 1997. Much has changed since then, but the fundamental role of the Hospice hasn’t – we are all here to make sure that local people get the best care towards their end of their lives and that their loved ones are supported.

The next CEO will have a fantastic role to take St Wilfrid’s and our services forward, and this is a great opportunity for the Hospice.

I’m really proud of everything that has been achieved over the years, and this has only been made possible by working with an amazing team of Trustees, staff and volunteers, and with the support of so many generous donors.”

St Wilfrid’s will now start recruitment for a replacement Chief Executive Officer, and look forward to welcoming candidate enquiries from all sectors.
