Job description

St Wilfrid’s are looking for an experienced calligrapher to join our calligraphy team in assisting our Family Services Team in keeping our treasured In Memoriam books accurate and up to date using the Uncial Script type.

The books are displayed in our beautiful hospice chapel and are always open on the current date ready for relatives and friends who return on anniversaries to remember their loved ones.

This volunteering opportunity can be carried out either at the Hospice or at home. Out of pocket expenses are covered.

    Job description

    Are you a Fundraising Administrator looking for a new challenge? Or an experienced Administrator seeking a change. We have an opportunity for a Fundraising Administrator to join our team.

    The successful candidate will:

    • Support the implementation and delivery of Fundraising strategies and activities.
    • Act as the key point of contact to process and record all incoming donations. Input details onto the Fundraising Database.
    • Liaising with staff, volunteers and supporters regarding donation processing.
    • Providing fundraising support through a donor journey, including acknowledgement of enquiries by phone, written communications or face-to-face.
    • Ensuring that all personal information is handled in strict accordance with Hospice policies, HRMC regulations and GDPR.

    This role provides the ideal candidate with a practical working environment to display excellent numeracy and computer literacy skills.

      We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic person to join our Fundraising Team to take responsibility for regular giving & legacy fundraising.

      The successful candidate will have experience of working in a fundraising setting. Either previous knowledge of or willingness to learn Inheritance Tax, Probate Law, GDPR and the Charity Commission’s Code of Practice is essential. The ideal candidate will be positive, responsive and helpful with a conscientious and flexible approach to work.

       Applicants must be able to demonstrate their:

      • Experience of fundraising.
      • Knowledge of legacy marketing and an understanding of Will making and related issues.
      • Knowledge of regular giving stewardship and promotion.
      • Knowledge of developing and delivering targeted fundraising campaigns.
      • Exposure of working within a marketing function/charity sector.
      • Proven experience of developing and stewarding high value relationships.
      • Ability to manage an income stream independently with support from their line manager.

      In addition to the day-to-day management of gifts in Wills, the postholder will support the Individual Fundraising Manager to develop and deliver the Individual Fundraising Strategy to reach, inspire and support a network of supporters.
