A new opportunity for a Student Counsellor has arisen within our Family Support Services team. Reporting into the Lead Chaplain, the successful candidate will provide a skilled psychological assessment of the needs and resources of patients and their families and carers.
The role holder will work collaboratively, building strong working relationships with other members of the multi-professional team and with other health, psychological and psychiatric services to ensure the best quality of service.
As a Counsellor you will have strong listening, communication and organisation skills, with the ability of accurate record keeping. Enjoying working as part of a team and individually.
We are looking for someone who is a qualified Counsellor or is a final year diploma student Counsellor, actively working towards accreditation or registration with BACP or UKCP or a similar professional body, with experience of working with loss and bereavement in a hospice setting. A full driving license and own transport is required.
