We need a new person in our team at St Wilf’s. In order to develop our service, we want to appoint to a brand new post of Clinical Fellow in Palliative Medicine to assist in the great work we do here in caring for our severely symptomatic and end of life patients. Could you be that person?

You will support the clinical team, especially our ward based junior doctor and our hospice community team, and, as you gain experience you’ll become a major cog in the machine, involved in teaching and learning, in clinical audit and other governance activities as well as the provision of best quality care.

Our ideal candidate would have full GMC registration, hold a postgraduate qualification or be working towards one, and have two years UK-based postgraduate experience at senior house officer level. We are looking for someone with great interpersonal and communication skills , the ability to lead and supervise and to manage their own time and priorities. Experience of end of life care in hospital is desirable.

Here in our fantastic new hospice on the rural fringes of the market and county town of Chichester you will find a friendly working atmosphere and inspiring and supportive colleagues.

Our comprehensive benefits package includes holiday entitlement starting at 27 days per year, increasing to 33 days, plus bank holidays (pro rata). Continuation of NHS reckonable service, and the NHS Pension Scheme are part of the excellent rewards package where applicable, alternatively a generous in-house contributory pension scheme and life assurance are available. We even offer discounted gym membership!

We are an equal opportunities employer committed to promoting an environment that is inclusive and free from all forms of unlawful or unfair discrimination.  We recognise and encourage the valuable contribution that people from all backgrounds and experiences bring.
