Could you lead St Wilfrid's into the future?

St Wilfrid’s is an independent hospice providing specialist palliative care to local people with advanced illness.

The Board sets the strategy for, and oversees governance of, the Hospice which prides itself on providing the highest quality end of life care to our local community. The Board is looking to appoint two Trustees in 2018 and two more in 2019. Individuals who are identified for appointment as Trustees in 2019 (Trustees in waiting) will have the opportunity to join one of the Board sub-committees this year in advance of their election as Trustees.

We are particularly interested in individuals who can demonstrate strategic leadership at senior or board level and who have skill/experience in one or more of the following areas:

  • Business experience and financial acumen
  • Fundraising
  • General Practitioner or Medical Consultant
  • HR/Organisational /Board Development
  • Marketing/Communications
  • Retail

An understanding of the charity sector is desirable but not essential.

Applicants would need to have time availability including during office hours and preferably live and/or work within our catchment area (from Emsworth in the west to Arundel in the east and the Downs in the north).

Trustees are volunteers and support and training are provided.
