Give in Memory

Thank you so much for thinking of supporting St Wilfrid’s Hospice at what must be a difficult time.

Many people find comfort in remembering their loved one by choosing to support St Wilfrid's Hospice. ‘Memory Leaves’ provide a beautiful lasting tribute or you could choose to have a collection at the funeral instead of flowers, perhaps. However you decide to honour the memory of your loved one, you can be comforted by the knowledge that you will be making the difference to other local lives.

I would like to say how much my dad used to love the garden of memories and found it a really tranquil place to be. It's a beautiful garden, and so lovely to have so many leaves in there. I always wanted to dedicate a leaf in memory of my dad and to donate towards St Wilfrid’s Hospice - such an amazing place. In memory of my dad - Colin Crossan.

Memory Leaves

We invite you to dedicate a beautiful, brushed stainless steel leaf, to your loved one. The leaf will be engraved with your loved one’s name and can be sent straight to you at home or can hang in the beautiful Hospice garden, for one year, before being sent to you as a keepsake.

Should you choose to hang your leaf in the Hospice garden then once a year has passed the leaf will be removed from the tree, placed in a presentation box and sent to you to keep forever. Our Garden of Memories nestles in a quiet corner of the Hospice garden, providing an attractive and peaceful area to remember someone special and you can visit whenever you like. Of course, if you decide to have your leaf sent straight to your home then you may wish to hang it in your own garden or display it within your home.

To dedicate a leaf in the Garden of Memories we ask for a suggested donation of £100 to cover our costs and help us to continue caring for local people living with a terminal illness. And, you can choose to donate by either a single or monthly Direct Debit.

A donation in lieu of flowers

Instead of purchasing flowers for a funeral you may choose to give a donation to help fund the Hospice. You can donate online, by clicking on the link below, or donations can be sent to the chosen Funeral Director who would collate all the donations and send them to us. Alternatively, we can provide our attractive donation envelopes for use at a funeral or memorial service. Please contact Michelle Sidney on 01243 775827 for more details.
