Patients and families

St. Wilfrid's Hospice provides a range of services to patients and families. We care for patients at home, in our Day Hospice and on our Inpatient Unit, and offer support to families in a variety of ways.  See our Patient Guide

mdtteam.jpgOur multi-disciplinary team of clinical and caring professionals are on hand to ensure the highest quality of care is delivered where it is needed.

Our Inpatient unit consists of 14 individual bedrooms with en-suite facilities and accommodates patients with a range of needs.
A team of nurse specialists provide Community Care to our patients at home and many of those make use of our Day Hospice facilities.  Some patients are also supported at home by our Hospice At Home team. The medical team works closely with the whole multidisciplinary team to optimise the quality of patient care.
We continue to work with patients through our Rehabilitation Service and help them remain at home and achieve as much as possible.
Hospital Support is provided by our medical team.

Our psychological and social care team offer a range of support for families and carers. Patients and families are further supported through our Complementary Therapies, Spiritual Care, Support for carers and Berevement Care.

Patients are referred to the hospice by a healthcare professional - see How to be referred. If a person is not in the St Wilfrid's catchment population there are also hospices in Portsmouth and Worthing and a community team covering the Midhurst area - see other local hospices for further details. Information about other aspects of our patient care, including resuscitation, is available in our other info section and links to useful websites is located at external links.

All of our services are supported by a fantastic team of people who include our housekeeping, catering, fundraising and administration staff. Our dedicated team work to the highest standard to ensure that all those who make use of our services encounter an excellent environment and facilities.
